What is a custom cake?

A cake order where “everything” is customized — the size, flavor and design.A custom cake is any type of cake that goes above and beyond the call of regular cake work. This can include handmade fondant pieces, flowers, or attention to detail that is a little bit extra than a traditional style birthday cake. Tiered cakes and wedding cakes are also considered custom.

Cake Cutting Guide & Tips
-
Remove all non edible decorations and/or flowers
-
Use a thin, but sturdy knife to get the best results
-
For tiered cakes: Begin with the top tier first- follow the steps on the above visual example
-
Wipe off the knife between slices to remove any frosting or crumbs to ensure a cleaner slice.
-
Run your knife under hot water or into a container of warm water before cutting. Dry the knife off and then slice the cake while the knife is still warm. It will slice through the cake's frosting so easily!
-
Enjoy!
